Why do we call it the “Homestay”? This name reflects our philosophy, our expectations of etiquette, & our desire to make your visit as comfortable as possible. As you explore the website, you will get a picture of what we offer & how we hope to connect with travelers whose approach to living encompasses personal & global health. Reservations made three or more weeks in advance of stay receive priority handling. We will consider same day reservations, but please understand that these opportunities are limited due to demand. As a ‘boutique’ B&B, we accept reservations for no more than two parties at one time so that you are treated like guests of the family!

Make reservations in advance. If we are unable to schedule you, we will assist with recommendations for other Bed and Breakfasts that are inspected and approved by the AABBA.
Please pay deposits by check, money order or PayPal. Your bill must be paid in full on the morning of your first day of stay, or can be paid in advance. Check, cash, & money order are currently accepted. To maintain reasonable rates, we do not accept credit cards. There is, however, an ATM located approximately one mile north in the local shopping plaza.
A reservation at Jarvi Homestay is tentative (not confirmed) until your deposit is transferred. If a reservation includes a canine stay, others requesting a reservation for the same dates will be informed. This is to alert those with allergies or desire to stay in a facility without dogs. Lucas, the house dog, is always here, however.

Rates vary with the the number of visitors in your party, & the number nights you will stay. To all room rates, 12% tax is added according to local regulation.
We work with SCF, ANTHC, ANMC, Providence, Regional, invoicing for services approved in advance by purchase order or travel requisition, so please ask!

Deposits, Cancellations, & Refunds
Deposits will be credited to your account total pending condition of the guest area. “Leave it better than you found it” is the code we live by. Reduce, reuse, recycle is a lifestyle we hope you share!
- Deposit for room reservation: 50% of anticipated charge
- Late arrival deposit: 100% of first night stay (if you have stayed with us before, this is waived)
A fourteen day notice of cancellation of your stay ensures the refund of your deposits. Cancellation with less notice results in prorated return of deposit fees; however, individuals listed on the final reservation statement who do not arrive (defined as ‘no shows’) will forfeit deposits.
Arrival & Departure Times
If you are traveling by air, checking in with the Jarvi Homestay will be coordinated with your arrival time. Should your flight occur early in the day, we may be able to store your baggage or have your room prepared ahead of schedule. Under usual circumstances, however, check in between 6:00 pm & 8:30 pm. Tell us about your schedule when you inquire!
Jarvi Homestay may also be determined by flight schedules. We ask that the rooms be cleared for maintenance & cleaning by noon.
